Four Roses named American Distiller of the Year for third year

LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (Sept. 20, 2012) – For the third consecutive year, and fourth time in six years, Four Roses Distillery was named “Whisky Distiller of the Year – America” by Whisky Magazine’s international judging panel.

The Distiller of the Year award was presented Tuesday afternoon to Four Roses during Whisky Magazine’s “Icons of Whisky Awards – America” which took place at the Seelbach Hilton Hotel in Louisville, Ky.

The annual Icons of Whisky Awards are “designed to celebrate the people and places behind the great whiskies of the world.”

In April 2013, Four Roses will compete as American Distiller of the Year against winners of the equivalent award in Scotland and other countries.

“To receive this kind of recognition so often these past few years is a testament to all our dedicated employees,” said Four Roses Master Distiller Jim Rutledge.  “We’ve come a long way over the last decade and I’m so proud of the entire Four Roses team for their hard work and enthusiasm making this brand what it is today.”

Established in 1888, Four Roses will celebrate the 125th anniversary of their storied brand next year.
