Bridgestone Americas has broken ground on a new $100 million state-of-the-art technical center in Akron, Ohio. U.S. Rep. Betty Sutton (D-OH), who attended the groundbreaking, noted that the project will result in immediate and much-needed construction jobs and allow Bridgestone to create and retain 1,000 jobs. The new facility is expected to be complete at the end of 2011. Pictured here with a model of the new facility are Ohio Gov.
