Louisville IT service provider to expand, create 30 new jobs

ConeXus World Global to invest $1.8 million

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Nov. 13, 2012) – ConeXus World Global LLC plans to expand operations in Louisville, add 30 new, full-time jobs and invest $1.8 million in the project.

The company helps customers plan, build, support and manage network and IT infrastructures. ConeXus’s other services include digital signage technology and maintenance, consulting, integration and management.

“We’re excited to see 30 new jobs and growth for ConeXus, a Kentucky company that has an expanding global footprint with a business presence on two continents,” said Gov. Steve Beshear. “The commonwealth has established a productive partnership with ConeXus, resulting in new jobs, increased investment and a promising future.”

Established in Louisville in 2010, ConeXus has offices in Kentucky and Belgium. The company plans to add a 7,200-square-foot technical center in Louisville, which will handle support and dispatch operations for customers around the world. The expansion will help fulfill the company’s growing installation service agreements for mobile telephone technology.

“ConeXus has a unique opportunity to provide solutions to the mobile telecommunications industry as it transitions from the high cost and complex tower-based transmission systems to local cell-based transmission infrastructure,” said ConeXus President Rick Mills. “We are truly excited about the growth of our company and the support we have received from Greater Louisville Inc., the city of Louisville and the commonwealth of Kentucky.”

The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority preliminarily approved the company for tax incentives up to $500,000 through the Kentucky Business Investment program. The performance-based incentive allows a company to keep a portion of its investment over the term of the agreement through corporate income tax credits and wage assessments by meeting job and investment targets.

“This is an exciting investment in Louisville by ConeXus World Global,” said Sen. Gerald Neal of Louisville. “Our city will reap the benefits of new jobs, as well as economic growth and development. ConeXus’ decision to expand its operations here speaks well of our workforce. I applaud Gov. Beshear for taking the lead to support this industry, their employees and their families.”

“As technology needs increase and become more sophisticated, it is important that our local businesses have access to the specialists who can help them manage their communications and IT needs most effectively,” said Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer. “ConeXus has demonstrated its confidence in Louisville as it seeks to expand its operations and be successful here.”
