Sun Tan City, an Elizabethtown-based company, has provided a $3 million gift toward the expansion of Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium at the University of Louisville. Plans are underway to expand Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium from its current 42,000-seat configuration to more than 60,000 with additional amenities. Also included in the $72 million expansion project are 45 new luxury suites, which feature 18 outside seats plus accommodations for up to 12 people inside. Sun Tan City was founded in 1999 by brothers Rick and David Kueber. The company has grown to include 58 locations in four states, including 25 in the Louisville area. Last year, Sun Tan City was named one of the fastest growing companies in America by Inc. magazine.
