Highlands Regional Medical Center has acquired several properties in Prestonsburg with plans to develop ambulatory care facilities that will offer improved health care access for the community. The expansion plans follow a recent groundbreaking for a new emergency department at the hospital location. Financial details of the property acquisitions have not been released.
