Event tackles key issues affecting state
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 23, 2013) — Business leaders from across the state gathered Monday night for the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting, part of the organization’s two-day Business Summit at the Louisville Marriott Downtown.

The summit, which continues today, offers a chance to discuss ways to move Kentucky forward, learn from experts and explore solutions to some of the state’s biggest challenges. The summit tackles key issues, including healthcare reform; the importance of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and innovation; postsecondary education research; and offers a look at Kentucky’s coal economy and public-private partnerships.

The dinner was headlined by speaker David Gergen, CNN senior political analyst and former presidential advisor, and also featured remarks from Gov. Steve Beshear.
