Arts Council offering online workshop for artists interested in applying to Kentucky Crafted Program

Scheduled for July 22, limited to first 25 participants

FRANKFORT, Ky. (July 11, 2014) —The Kentucky Arts Council will host an online workshop for Kentucky visual and craft artists interested in applying to the Kentucky Crafted Program, an arts marketing initiative featuring the  commonwealth’s finest artists.

The one-hour webinar, “Tips for Applying to the Kentucky Crafted Program,” will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 22. Topics will include eligibility, benefits, the application process and assessment criteria. Registration for the webinar is limited to 25 participants and will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

“This webinar is an opportunity for artists who are interested in applying to the Kentucky Crafted Program to have their questions answered in advance,” said Lori Meadows, arts council executive director. “The information provided will assist artists in preparing and submitting a professional and complete application.”

Kentucky Crafted is an adjudicated arts marketing program that provides assistance to Kentucky visual and craft artists through marketing and promotional opportunities and arts business training. Each year, members of the program have the opportunity to show work at Kentucky Crafted: The Market, the commonwealth’s largest fine art and craft show.
