Kentucky World Trade Day is Thursday in Lexington

More than 320 business professionals expected to attend

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 20, 2014) — More than 320 of Kentucky’s leading international business professionals will attend Kentucky World Trade Day on Thursday.

worldtradeThis year the World Trade Center Kentucky is celebrating 25 years as a membership organization that is the leading provider of trade education, consulting and missions.

During the event, Dr. Joshua Meltzer, Fellow in Global Economy and Development at the Brookings Institution will give a keynote address on developments in international trade and the new opportunities and challenges that face Kentucky.

The event will be held at the Griffin Gate Marriott Resort & Spa in Lexington at 1:30 p.m., with a reception at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m.

The Martha Layne Collins International Trade Excellence award will be presented to four Kentucky companies that have successfully engaged in international trade and business.
