Kentucky Aviation Conference scheduled for Sept. 10-12

Event will be in Bowling Green

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Aug. 25, 2014) — The 38th annual Kentucky Aviation Conference and Exhibition will be held from Sept. 10-12 in Bowling Green.

The event brings together aviation professionals from across the state for educational workshops and networking with aviation industries and organizations.

aviationGuest speakers for this year’s conference include David Thompson, of the Kentucky Commission on Military Affairs; Mario Mairena, Association for Unmanned Vehicle Systems International; Dave Fleet, Futron Corp.; Dave Erstfeld, Federal Aviation Administration Southern Region; Jory M. Becker, Kentucky Division of Water Surface Water Permits Branch; and Kim Stevens, National Association of State Aviation Officials.

In addition to educational workshops and networking, the conference will feature presentations of several awards. The Airport Board Member of the Year Award and the Airport Manager of the Year Award, in both the commercial service airport category and general aviation airport category, will be announced.

New this year is the Excellence in Aviation Award honoring the achievements of Henry Ogrodzinski, an advocate for aviation throughout his career with General Motors avionics, the Experimental Aircraft Association, the General Aviation Manufacturers Association and Gulfstream Aerospace.
