Yum! Brands agrees to five-year extension to be Derby presenting sponsor

Extension runs through 2020

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 15, 2014) — Yum! Brands signed a five-year extension with Churchill Downs to be the presenting sponsor of the Kentucky Derby through 2020.

Under the agreement announced today, the race will continue to be run as the Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands. Terms of the extended agreement were not released.

Churchill Downs opened with the running of the first Kentucky Derby on May 17, 1875. Yum! Brands, a Fortune 500 company that operates over 40,000 restaurants in more than 125 countries and territories.
