St. Elizabeth, Thomas More form partnership to better serve school’s athletes

Thomas More has about 480 student athletes

CRESTVILLE HILLS, Ky. (Sept. 16, 2014) — St. Elizabeth Healthcare and Thomas More College have partnered on a five-year agreement that will have St. Elizabeth provide athletic trainers, physicians, health services and injury rehabilitation for Thomas More’s 480 student athletes.

thomas more saintsSt. Elizabeth’s Dr. Michael Miller will continue to serve as Thomas More College’s team doctor and Miller and his staff will provide weekly training room visits for evaluations and to care for student-athletes. Thomas More athletics consists of 19 teams.

St. Elizabeth will also provide athletic training coverage for the thousands of youth athletic summer camps at Thomas More College. St. Elizabeth will also provide adjunct faculty and guest lecturers for Thomas More’s Athletic Training academic program, as well as internships for Athletic Training undergraduate/graduate students.

Thomas More College and St. Elizabeth are both affiliated with the Diocese of Covington and each entity’s main campus is located on Thomas More Parkway in Crestview Hills, less than a mile away from each other.
