Supplier Diversity Fair is Wednesday in Lexington

Free event from 2-6 p.m. at Lexington Convention Center

VERSAILLES, Ky. (Oct. 21, 2014) – The Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) is partnering with the University of Kentucky to host the second annual Supplier Diversity Fair from 2-6 p.m. on Wednesday at the Lexington Convention Center.

Unknown“Our goal is to provide even greater opportunity to diverse suppliers looking to do business with both of our organizations within the communities we serve,” said KCTCS System Director of Business Services Wendell Followell.

The fair is a matchmaking event that allows diverse suppliers to meet face-to-face with representatives from all of KCTCS’ 16 colleges, the KCTCS System Office and buyers from UK. Buyers and officials from other organizations include: Commerce-Lexington, Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, Kentucky Finance and Administration Cabinet, Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, Small Business Administration and Toyota.

Last year’s Supplier Diversity event consisted of 75 booths and was attended by more than 300 people. This year’s event has been moved to a larger area that will allow for more than 100 booths and up to 1,000 attendees.

The event is free but registration is limited. For more information contact KCTCS Procurement Manager Brenda Nolan at (859) 256-3325 or to register a business visit supplierdiversity.kctcs.edu.
