Governor makes appointments to boards and commissions

Reappoints six, appoints three

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Nov. 21, 2014) — Gov. Steve Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions:

kentucky_seal_resizedReappointed to the Kentucky Equine Health and Welfare Council to serve for terms expiring Aug. 19, 2018:

  • Harrison County Judge-Executive Alexander Barnett, of Cynthiana, representing Kentucky Farm Bureau.
  • Frank Dwayne Marcum, of Versailles, is a veterinarian. He represents the Kentucky Equine Health and Welfare Alliance Inc.

Appointed to the Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College Board of Directors to serve for a term expiring Sept. 25, 2020.

  • Jerry R. Coe, of Glasgow, works in industrial property management for American Materials Inc. He replaces William L. Kindred, whose term has expired.

Reappointed to the Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College Board of Directors to a term expiring Sept. 25, 2020.

  • Randy W. Schumaker, of Bowling Green, is chief management officer for Logan Aluminum Inc.

Appointed to the Kentucky Heritage Council to serve for a term expiring Aug. 6, 2018.

  • Angela B. Correll, of Stanford, is a writer and owner of Kentucky Soaps and Such. She replaces Kathleen Smith, whose term has expired.

Appointed to the Southeast Community and Technical College Board of Directors.

  • Abe Bailey, of Mary Alice, is retired. He replaces Donald L. Breeding, whose term has expired. Bailey shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 15, 2020.

Reappointed to the Southeast Community and Technical College Board of Directors:

  • Charity S. Collett, of Middlesboro, is a teacher for Middlesboro Independent Schools. She shall serve for a term expiring Dec. 6, 2019.
  • Rayburn Doss, of Cumberland, is self-employed with Doss Fuelco Inc. He shall serve for a term expiring Dec. 6, 2019
  • Sandra Roark Miller, of Harlan, is a marriage and family therapist. She shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 15, 2020.
