Documentary features impact women have had on state

Free showings to be held in in Frankfort, Louisville, Springfield and Lexington

untitledFRANKFORT, Ky. (March 4, 2015) – The premier of the documentary “Dreamaaers & Doers: VOICES of Kentucky Women” will be shown in Frankfort, Louisville, Springfield and Lexington. The hour-long documentary profiles more than 40 Kentucky women and their achievements and is based on the Kentucky Women Remembered exhibit displayed in the state Capitol.

The film shows the impact women have had in science, literature, politics, arts, education, business, religion, athletics, entertainment and the military in Kentucky.

The state is planning to distribute the documentary to every middle and high school in the commonwealth, as well as all public libraries in time for the beginning of the 2015-2016 school year. premieres are free of charge, but a ticket is required.
