Scheduled for April 21 in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 1, 2015) — The Kosair Charities Children’s Peace Center at Our Lady of Peace, part of KentuckyOne Health, will host a free seminar, “A Successful Transition to Middle School,” at 6:30 p.m. on April 21 at Breckinridge Elementary School in Lexington.
This workshop will address a variety of issues that may arise during the time of transition between elementary and middle school, such as social media, developing positive relationships and bullying. The discussion will also include the stages of development and what emotional changes may take place in a child during this time.
The seminar will be led by David Houvenagle, a therapist in the Crossroads program at Our Lady of Peace. Houvenagle has more than 20 years experience in social work.
