JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (May 6, 2015) – From May 10-16, 2015, Clark Memorial Hospital will recognize National Hospital Week, an annual commemoration that celebrates the people, organizations and technologies that make trustworthy, reliable healthcare available in communities nationwide. A healthcare tradition since 1921, National Hospital Week commends the contributions that hospital physicians, nurses, staff, and administrators make in big cities, small towns and rural regions across the United States each day.
This year, the team at Clark Memorial Hospital will unite with the American Hospital Association and 5.6 million healthcare workers from around the county to reflect on our work with a common theme: “Where Miracles Happen Every Day.” Clark Memorial is delighted to be part of this celebration.
Since 1922, Clark Memorial Hospital has served Clark county with a singular mission of making communities healthier. Each day, our staff strives to find new ways to achieve this mission by seeking to enhance quality care and patient safety, expanding the services we provide, improving our patients’ experiences, and reaching out to people in need to ensure that they have access to the care they need to be healthy. We are proud of what we do – both within our hospital walls and outside of them – to contribute to the health and wellbeing of this region.
Recently, Clark Memorial’s staff shared their knowledge and expertise at the annual Baby Fair, hosted an open house event for adult Hoosiers interested in information and eligibility for the new state insurance program HIP 2.0, and offered wellness screenings at weekly community outreach events at area businesses and locations. This month Clark Memorial will offer an array of health screenings at the annual Men’s Health Fair and Car Show
