Blue Grass Airport Board welcomes new member Richard Moloney

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 27, 2015) – The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board welcomes new board member Richard Moloney. Richard Moloney, a Lexington native, serves as Council Member At-Large for Urban County Council. A former council member elected to represent the 11th district, Moloney served seven terms over a 20-year period; a time span covering four mayors, six vice mayors and 45 council members.

Moloney also served as Chief Administrative Officer and Commissioner of Environmental Quality & Public Works for Mayor Jim Gray. Prior to that, he was appointed by Governor Steve Beshear to lead the Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction.

The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Airport Board is the governing body for Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport. Its 10 volunteer members are appointed by the Mayor of Lexington and approved by the Urban County Council.

Blue Grass Airport, located in Lexington is served by four major airlines providing convenient non-stop service to 15 cities and connecting service to hundreds of destinations worldwide.
