Huge Louisville water main break at Grinstead Drive stabilized

LouisvilleWater logoLOUISVILLE (June18, 2015) — As of 6:30 a.m., Louisville Water has isolated the 60-inch water main that broke shortly after 3am this morning at Grinstead Drive and Springdale. This is a transmission water main coming from the Crescent Hill Treatment Plant.

Customers who had low water pressure should see normal levels. We do have customers who still have no water in the Crescent Hill area.

Louisville Water expects to issue a boil water advisory for parts of the Crescent Hill area and at this point our engineers are working to identify the parameters.

Later this morning, Grinstead Drive will be closed east from I-64 to Stiltz Avenue as Louisville Water begins to make repairs.
