GLI’s EnterpriseCorp names new assistant director for the Kentucky Innovation Network

Brittain Skinner will join Greater Louisville Inc.’s (GLI) EnterpriseCorp as the organization’s assistant director for Kentucky Innovation Network (KIN).

Louisville, Ky. – Brittain Skinner will join Greater Louisville Inc.’s (GLI) EnterpriseCorp as the organization’s assistant director for Kentucky Innovation Network (KIN).

Skinner will support GLI EnterpriseCorp’s partnership with the Kentucky Innovation Network, working with early-stage and second-stage firms to drive job creation, mentor new businesses and increase overall investments in early stage and fast-growth companies. Skinner will begin her new role beginning Aug. 12.

“Brittain has had a substantial impact in all of her previous roles and is especially gifted in managing a wide array of client relationships,” said Terry Gill, Vice President of EnterpriseCorp. “Her diverse economic development experience will be a tremendous asset to our organization and the Kentucky Innovation Network.”

Previously, Skinner was executive director of Downtown Frankfort, Inc. the Main Street organization in Kentucky’s capital city. Prior to joining Downtown Frankfort, Skinner established the Burnamwood Appalachian Ministry (BAM) as well as held positions in environmental and urban planning.  She is also founder of The Kentucky Dirty and producer of the event, which in its inaugural year was attended by 550-plus participants from 12 states and two countries and benefited Homes for Our Troops charity.

Skinner completed her undergraduate work at Smith College and holds a Master in City and Regional Planning from Georgia Institute of Technology.
