National Night Out set for Tuesday in Louisville

Event promotes police-community relationships

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 29, 2015) — Across Louisville on Tuesday, communities will be celebrating National Night Out, “an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live,” according to National Night Out.

NationalNightOutWeb“National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances,” according to National Night Out. “Neighborhoods across the nation host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and other various community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel and exhibits.”

Louisville Metro Police Department’s First Division

  • National Night Out will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Four Bridge at Waterfront Park. For more information call 574-LMPD (5673).

Louisville Metro Police Department’s Second Division

  • National Night Out will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the First Choice Market at 3044 Wilson Ave. For more information call 574-2478.

Louisville Metro Police Department’s Third Division

  • National Night Out begins at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the Home Depot, 6849 Dixie Hwy. For more information call the Division at 574-2155.

Louisville Metro Police Department’s Fourth Division

  • National Night Out will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday in Wyandotte Park. For more information contact the Fourth Division at 574-7010.

Louisville Metro Police Department’s Fifth Division
