LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 31, 2015) — Theona Simbrat has been appointed to the position of general manger for the Griffin Gate Marriott Resort & Spa.
Simbrat has more than 19 years of Marriott experience. She began her career as director of services and front office manager at Denver Marriott City Center in 1996. She was promoted to director of restaurants at the Houston Marriott Medical Center. In 2007, she took on the role as assistant general manager at Scottsdale Marriott Suites Old Town and became the general manager at the Kansas City Airport Marriott in 2010.
Most recently, she held the position of general manager at the Renaissance Cleveland Downtown Hotel, a 491 room hotel. Her years of hospitality industry experience have created a proven track record of delivering outstanding results in Guest and Associate Satisfaction, financial growth and revenue generation.
