Lexington, Ky. – Keeneland and Country Boy Brewing have collaborated on the Keeneland Fall Ale, a small-batch beer produced by the local brewery to promote and celebrate Keeneland’s fall racing and sales season.

Keeneland Fall Ale is Country Boy Brewing’s interpretation of an American pale ale made with earthy American hops that fade into a sweet malt body.

The beer is available on tap at Keeneland during the September Yearling Sale which runs through Sept. 26; the Fall Meet, Oct. 2-24; and the November Breeding Stock Sale, Nov. 2-14. The Fall Ale also will be available at a number of local restaurants and bars.

Keeneland Sale Ale was introduced at the 2014 September Sale. The instant popularity of last year’s ale necessitated that Country Boy brew a double batch for fall 2015.

“We were blown away by the reception last year,” Country Boy Brewing co-founder Daniel Harrison said. “Once again, it’s a dream come true for us to work with Keeneland and its great history. Country Boy strives to be an institution like Keeneland that people associate with Lexington and the Bluegrass.”

Country Boy Brewing opened in February 2012 in Lexington and has experienced substantial growth to draw a regional following. The brewery is known for its fresh, minimally processed beers and a willingness to experiment with ingredients to make uniquely flavored beers.

“Keeneland appreciates the opportunity to connect its domestic and international Thoroughbred clients and the people of Central Kentucky,” Keeneland President and CEO Bill Thomason said. “We are proud to partner with local companies like Country Boy Brewing and to be involved in events that showcase the best of what this community has to offer.”
