19 schools, 12 businesses make Victory Media’s lists
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 5, 2015) — Nineteen Kentucky colleges and universities were named to Victory Media’s list of 2016 Military Friendly Schools. Also, 12 Kentucky businesses were named 2016 Military Friendly Employers.
Colleges and universities completed a survey of more than 100 questions covering ten categories:
- Academic credibility (20 percent of score)
- Support on campus (15 percent)
- Admissions and orientation (15 percent)
- Graduate and retention rates (10 percent)
- Military student body composition (10 percent)
- Career outcomes (10 percent)
- Government approvals (5 percent)
- Tuition assistance (5 percent)
- Flexibility (5 percent)
- Military spouse policies (5 percent)

- Bluegrass Community and Technical College
- Brescia University
- Campbellsville University
- Eastern Kentucky University
- Elizabethtown Community and Technical College

Businesses were ranked based on:
- Recruiting effort (26 percent of score)
- Recruiting results (24 percent)
- Numbers of years on the list (11 percent)
- Guard and reserve policies (17.5 percent)
- Retention (10 percent)
- Internal programs/community outreach (11.5 percent)
