Gov. Beshear makes appointments to boards and commissions

Frankfort, Ky. – Governor Steve Beshear has made the following appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions: 

Gov. Beshear has appointed Douglas F. Brent as a member of the Kentucky Bicycle and Bikeway Commission.

  • Douglas F. Brent, of Louisville, replaces Catherine R. McBride, who resigned. Brent shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Oct. 20, 2016.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Sen. Danny Carroll as a member of the Kentucky Early Childhood Advisory Council.

  • Sen. Danny Carroll, of Paducah, represents the Senate. He replaces Sen. David P. Givens.

Gov Beshear has appointed Robert Raney Damron as a member of the Institute for Aging.

  • Robert Ramey Damron, of Nicholasville, replaces Patricia L. Collingsworth, who resigned. Damron shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Sept. 1, 2018.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Sara Beth Mitchum-Roten as a member of the Kentucky Board of Hairdressers and Cosmetologists.

  • Sara Beth Mitchum-Roten, of Frankfort, represents salon owners. She replaces Jo Ann Peterson, who resigned. Mitchum-Roten shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Feb. 1, 2016.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following as members of the Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College Nominating Commission, to serve for terms expiring April 15, 2019:

  • Daniel B. Rudloff, of Bowling Green.
  • Rick John Malek, of Bowling Green.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed Rebekkah Bravo Rechter as a member of the Worker’s Compensation Board.

  • Rebekkah Bravo Rechter, of Louisville, shall serve for a term ending Jan. 4, 2020.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Donald L. McQueary as a member of the City of Lynnview City Council.

  • Donald L. McQueary shall serve in accordance with the provisions of Section 152 of the Kentucky Constitution.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Norbert J. Ryan as a member of the Commonwealth Council on Developmental Disabilities.

  • Norbert J. Ryan, of Versailles, represents individuals with developmental disabilities. The appointment replaces Courtney T. Cooper, who resigned. Ryan shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending July 16, 2017.

Gov. Beshear has appointed John Rex Hampton as a member of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 27th Judicial Circuit and District.

  • John Rex Hampton, of Barbourville, shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2018. The appointment replaces Paul D. Cole, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following as members of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 27th Judicial Circuit and District:

  • Sabrina Lynn Mills, of Barbourville, to serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2018.
  • Ruthie Hoskins, of London, to serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2020.
  • Everett Morgan, of London, to serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2020.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following as members of the Education Professional Standards Board:

  • Sarah Marie Thompson, of Paducah, representing elementary school teachers. She replaces Brandy L. Beardsley, whose term has expired. Thompson shall serve for a term expiring Sept. 18, 2019.
  • Esther K. Fatsy, of Cincinnati, representing secondary school teachers. She replaces Marie R. McMillen, whose term has expired. Fatsy shall serve for a term expiring Sept. 18, 2019.
  • Ann Marie Morgan, of Owenton, represents elementary school teachers. She replaces Barbara Ann Boyd, who resigned. Morgan shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending June 7, 2016.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed Laura Lee Schneider as a member of the Education Professional Standards Board. 

  • Laura Lee Schneider, of Walton, represents secondary school teachers. She shall serve for a term expiring Sept. 18, 2019.

Gov Beshear has appointed Alton Dwain Wheeler as a member of the Real Estate Appraisers Board.

  • Alton Dwain Wheeler, of Winchester, represents certified real estate appraisers. He replaces Harold G. Brantley, whose term has expired. Wheeler shall serve for a term expiring Nov. 19, 2018.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following as members of the Kentucky Economic Development Partnership Board, to serve for terms expiring Oct. 1, 2019:

  • Jean Wells, of Owensboro, representing the 2nd Congressional District and the Kentucky Association for Economic Development.
  • Mary Melinda Karns, of Lexington, representing the state at large and the Kentucky Association for Economic Development.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Ann Evans as a member of the Historic Properties Advisory Commission.

  • Ann Evans, of Lexington, replaces Kimberly Plummer, who resigned. Evans shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending Aug. 11, 2018.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Brian Scott Roy as a member of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Development Authority, to serve for a term expiring Dec. 6, 2019:

  • Brian S. Roy, of Benton, replaces Donald Sam Elias, whose term has expired.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following as members of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway Development Authority, to serve for terms expiring Dec. 6, 2019:

  • Romey A. Holmes, of Mayfield.
  • Jerry P. Pace, of Barlow.
  • Carol Clark Gault, of Paducah.

Gov. Beshear has appointed the following as members of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 41st Judicial Circuit and District, to serve for terms expiring Jan. 1, 2018:

  • Delbert Roberts, of Manchester, replaces Lucille Anderson, whose term has expired. Roberts shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2018.
  • Melissa Dawn Sester, of Manchester, replaces Joan Gay, whose term has expired. Sester shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2018.
  • Terry K. Wilson, of Manchester, replaces Mary B. Stivers, whose term has expired. Wilson shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2020.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed Vonda Joyce Collins as a member of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the 41st Judicial Circuit and District.

  • Vonda Joyce Collins, of Manchester, shall serve for a term expiring Jan. 1, 2020.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Rodney Glen Dick as a member of the board of directors of the Purchase of Agricultural Conservation Easement Corp.

  • Rodney Glen Dick, of Nancy, shall serve for a term expiring April 12, 2018.

Gov. Beshear has reappointed the following as members of the Governor’s Advisory Board for Veterans’ Affairs:

  • Robert Odel Hendrickson, ofLouisville, representing Veterans of Foreign Wars. He shall serve for a term expiring May 10, 2018.
  • Michael Lloyd Harden, of Harrodsburg, representing citizens at large. He shall serve for a term expiring Sept. 25, 2018.

Gov. Beshear has appointed Jason T. Partin as magistrate for the 5th District of Bell County.

  • Jason T. Partin, of Pineville, replaces Ricky Goodin who is deceased.
