Brescia accepting students for new Master of Social Work program

Only 12 spots for online course that begins in August

OWENSBORO, Ky. (Feb. 5, 2016) — Brescia University is accepting applications for its new online Master of Social Work (MSW) degree program. There are only 12 spots available for the August 2016 cohort, which consists of 60 credits completed within 2 years. The deadline to apply is March 15.

bresciaAll MSW classes are online and are sixteen weeks long. Weekly, evening and synchronous chats are required for all courses to provide students with a virtual, real-time, face-to-face experience with professors. Tuition is $600 pre credit hour, including books.

Brescia University has offered a BSW since 1995, graduating 50 in the social work program in 2015. The Bachelor of Social Work program is currently accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.

The bachelor’s degree provides students with the skills, knowledge and values that are essential in generalist social work practice. Students focus on working with individuals, families, groups, and community organizations.

Advanced standing for the MSW will start in August 2017 and will be 29 credit, completed in 1 year.
