Wimsett & Company appoints president, on track to expand

“Chris’s wealth of industry knowledge and experience building strong client relationships is outstanding,” said Tom Wimsett, founder and chairman of Wimsett & Company.  “We’re very fortunate to have Chris join our team.  I’m confident he will drive further growth and expansion of Wimsett & Company.”

McNulty expressed enthusiasm and energy in taking the helm as president.

“I’m excited to join the Wimsett & Company team,” McNulty said.  “We have big plans for the company’s future.  This company has developed such a unique model in the industry as true consultants and advocates for their clients.”

Both founder Tom Wimsett and McNulty are highly successful serial entrepreneurs.  Before launching Wimsett & Company in 2012, Wimsett founded Iron Triangle Payments Solutions, which he grew and eventually sold to Fifth Third Processing Solutions (now Vantiv) for more than $600 million.

McNulty was part of the executive team that built and then sold National Processing Company (NYSE: NAP) to Bank of America in 2004.  NAP was valued in excess of $1.4 billion.  McNulty managed sales and business development teams of all types at NAP.

In 2005, McNulty joined Iron Triangle Payment Systems (ITPS) where he built a new direct sales channel focused on small and medium sized businesses and oversaw Financial Institution partnerships.  ITPS developed a tremendous reputation as an innovator and true partner with Financial Institutions and ISOs.  McNulty was integral in growing ITPS to become one of the largest merchant processing providers in the United States prior to its sale in 2010 to Fifth Third Processing Solutions (now Vantiv, NYSE: VNTV).

Most recently, McNulty was responsible for sales, business development, and client relations at TSYS Merchant Solutions (NASDAQ: TSYS), the direct acquiring division of TSYS.  During his tenure, he increased sales performance by modifying compensation plans, sales team structure, and sales methodology.

“Our service and commitment to business owners is important and we view Chris’ appointment as a chance to deepen our expertise and grow our business,” Wimsett said.
