Spring Meet begins Friday
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 7, 2016) — Red Mile, in partnership with Keeneland, will offer free round-trip shuttle service from Red Mile to Keeneland on Fridays and Saturdays. The recently renovated Red Mile is five miles from Keeneland on Red Mile Road between Versailles Road and South Broadway.
“Keeneland is pleased to collaborate with Red Mile to provide shuttles as a service to our guests,” Keeneland vice president and COO Vince Gabbert said. “Following a great afternoon of racing at Keeneland, we encourage fans to enjoy all the food and entertainment offered at Red Mile.”
Shuttles will depart Red Mile every 30 minutes beginning at 10:30 a.m. and drop off and pick-up at Keeneland’s Grandstand South Entrance. The final shuttle on both days will depart from Keeneland one hour after the last race to return to Red Mile, where fans can enjoy simulcast racing, Instant Racing and live music in the Grand Atrium beginning at 9 p.m. on Fridays and 8 p.m. on Saturdays.
“With 900 Instant Racing terminals, live music and simulcast racing, Red Mile is the perfect after-party for a day at the track,” said Red Mile CFO Shannon Cobb. “Providing this continuous shuttle will add convenience and fun to the Keeneland experience.”
