Heaven Hill to spend $29 million to add storage capacity in Bardstown

FRANKFORT, Ky. (April 28, 2016) – State economic development officials today approved $685,000 in tax incentives for a planned $29 million expansion of Heaven Hill Distilleries storage facilities in Nelson County.

The major Kentucky bourbon producer cited growing product demand as generating a need for additional finished case goods storage capacity

A distillery in west Louisville is operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week to produce all of Heaven Hill’s whiskey brands, including Evan Williams, Elijah Craig, Larceny, Bernheim Wheat Whiskey, and the flagship Heaven Hill brand, co-master distiller Denny Potter told whiskycast.com in January.

Heaven Hill had acquired 180 additional acres of land in Nelson County for warehouses.

The company indicated in its application for state tax incentives that its new project near Bardstown will include $9 million in building construction and $19.5 million in electronic processing equipment.
