Former president of Stonestreet One to speak at Venture Connectors luncheon

Scheduled for June 1

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 9, 2016) — Tim Reilly, founder and former president of Stonestreet One, will be the guest speaker at the June 1 Venture Connectors luncheon. Reilly, a Louisville native, will share his experiences when his technology firm was acquired in 2014 by Qualcomm Inc. The deal represented a strong national endorsement for the Louisville tech sector and a boon for the local investors involved with Stonestreet One.

As part of the acquisition, the Louisville office remained open and its engineers were offered positions at Qualcomm. Reilly now serves as senior director of business development in wearable products for Qualcomm, a global wireless technologies company based in California. Part of his new role involved leading the integration of Stonestreet One’s operations into the tech giant.

Reilly earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Louisville Speed School of Engineering. He began his career as a software engineer for several groups within Motorola’s Land Mobile Product Group in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Schaumburg, Ill. He later went to work for Sun Electronic Systems in Fort Lauderdale and Innovative Electronic Designs (IED) in Louisville.

Reilly started the contract programming business, Reilly Systems, in 1996. Rebranded as Stonestreet One LLC in 1999, the company provided protocol stack and application software for Bluetooth wireless technology.
