QuickBooks workshops to focus on basics of business technology

Scheduled for May 25-26 in Floyd County

MOREHEAD, Ky. (May 19, 2016) — Mountain Association for Community Economic Development (MACED) will partner with Morehead State University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to bring a four-part QuickBooks training course to the Floyd County from May 25-26.

Workshops:

May 25

  • 9 a.m. to noon — “Basic QuickBooks,” which will focus on QuickBooks fundamentals. Basic computer knowledge is required for this hands-on computer based class.
  • 1-4 p.m. — “Intermediate QuickBooks,” which will take the intermediate QuickBooks user to the next level. Topics include reports, customers, care center, inventory and invoicing.

May 26

  • 9 a.m. to noon: QuickBooks Lab. During lab time, business owners will work on their own laptops and QuickBooks programs. The certified QuickBooks instructor will work with each participant on their particular challenges.
  • 1-4 p.m.: QuickBooks session dedicated to payroll. The session will address questions related to payroll, input, checks, processions, reports, taxes and end-of-year reports.

Each session is $25 per person. There is limited seating and pre-registration is required.
