Business brief: Spalding University acquires 7.5 acres on Ninth Street in Louisville

Spalding University has acquired 7.5 acres on the Ninth Street corridor in downtown Louisville.

The property will be used for the expansion of Spalding’s NCAA Division III athletic program, including venues for softball, soccer and lacrosse as well as locker rooms, concession
and indoor activity space.

Spalding University is a private, co-educational university in Louisville affiliated with the Sisters of Charity of Nazareth.
