Blue Grass Airport announces year-round to Minneapolis/St. Paul

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 23, 2016) – Blue Grass Airport and Delta Air Lines are pleased to announce Lexington, Ky. will soon have non-stop, year-round service to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport beginning on Oct. 29, 2016.

Currently offered seasonally from June through October, the Twin Cities has been a strong destination for the Lexington community and serves as a connection point to international destinations. The flight will now be offered daily year-round and will offer travelers more than 60 onward connections to more than 45 destinations.

“Once again, Delta Air Lines has shown a tremendous investment in the Lexington community by enhancing air service routes for our travelers and providing convenient access to global markets,” said Eric Frankl, executive director of Blue Grass Airport. “As a hub city, Minneapolis-St Paul provides a great connection point for those passengers traveling westbound as well as to Canada, Japan and other international and domestic destinations. Our business community, in particular those seeking access to Tokyo, will find this flight beneficial.”

Beginning on Aug. 28, travelers on this flight will have the luxury of an upgraded regional aircraft, which includes additional seats, a two-class cabin, Wi-Fi and free onboard entertainment for all customers.

Passengers can enjoy premium service with the option of first-class seating and amenities. The route is tentatively scheduled to depart Lexington at 9 am (EST) with an arrival time in Minneapolis at 10:15 am (CT) beginning Oct. 29. The return trip departs Minneapolis at 7:40 pm (CT) with an arrival time in Lexington at 10:39 pm (EST).
