LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 28, 2016) — Louisville-based ResCare, Inc. has named Jon B. Rousseau president and chief executive officer. Rousseau will succeed ResCare’s retiring CEO Ralph Gronefeld, Jr., who is retiring after 21 years with the company. Gronefeld will serve as interim president of the Residential Services segment until June 30, 2017.

Most recently, Rousseau served as executive vice president of Kindred Healthcare and president of Kindred Rehabilitation Services. Prior to that, he was president of the Care Management Division and Kindred At Home, Kindred’s home health, hospice, home care and home-based primary care businesses. Rousseau also held a number of senior leadership positions at other market-leading health care companies, including vice president of global marketing, strategy and commercial development for Mylan and global senior director of the continuous glucose monitoring franchise with Medtronic.

He received his MBA from Harvard Business School and his A.B. degree from Princeton University.
