$33 million project to begin this summer
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 27, 2016) — An estimated $33 million project will bring a new hotel with 110 to 120 rooms to downtown Owensboro, reports the Messenger-Inquirer.
The project, which is expected to begin construction in the summer of 2017, also will include up to 160 new apartments. Construction is expected to be completed in the summer of 2018.
The Owensboro Convention Center and a Hampton Inn and Suites were both opened in 2014. With the new hotel, there will be about 400 rooms available near the convention center.
