Kindred Healthcare named to Fortune magazine’s World’s Most Admired Companies

Ranked third for innovation among medical facilities

imgres-2LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Feb. 22, 2017) — Kindred Healthcare, Inc. has been named one of the World’s Most Admired Companies by Fortune magazine. This is the eighth time the company has made the list. Kindred ranked third for innovation among the companies in the “Health Care: Medical Facilities” category.

Fortune collaborated with its partner Korn Ferry Hay Group on this survey of corporate reputations. To determine the best-regarded companies in 51 industries, Korn Ferry Hay Group asked executives, directors, and analysts to rate enterprises in their own industry on nine criteria, from investment value and quality of management and products to social responsibility and ability to attract talent. A company’s score must rank in the top half of its industry survey to be listed.

“Being named to Fortune’s list of the Most Admired Companies is a tribute to the hard work of our employees,” said Benjamin A. Breier, president and chief executive officer of Kindred. “Ranking third for innovation is a reflection of our strategic vision to create post-acute care solutions and deliver effective care coordination across the entire patient episode.”
