UofL breaks ground today on road project

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (June 25, 2012) — The University of Louisville will host a ceremonial groundbreaking today for a $31 million road project.

The event, set for 2:30 p.m., will be in the parking lot at the corner of Second and Iowa streets. The site is a few blocks north of UofL’s Jim Patterson baseball stadium.

UofL President James Ramsey, Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear, Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer and Kentucky House Speaker ProTem Larry Clark are the expected speakers. The road project will provide access to a planned 39-acre research park on UofL’s Belknap Campus.
