Frozen food manufacturer in Florence receives $33.9 million from KEDFA to reinvest

SFC Global Supply Chain, a manufacturer of frozen food products, sold nationally and internationally, received preliminary approval Thursday from the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority on a $33.9 million reinvestment in the facility in order to replace aging equipment and to be able to increase manufacturing capacity and to add capabilities to its production line.

The reinvestment would also allow the company to make different types of products in less time, with less waste.

The company hopes to be completed with this project by April 2018. The company has 351 employees, at an average wage of $16 an hour.

KEDFA preliminarily approved the company for tax incentives up to $2.5 million through the Kentucky Business Investment program.
