Region 1, 2 winners announced for Lt. Gov.’s Entrepreneurship Challenge

Advance to state finals

FRANKFORT, Ky. (April 11, 2017) —  Lt. Gov. Jenean Hampton attended the region two competition of the Lt. Gov.’s Entrepreneurship Challenge today at Western Kentucky University.

Todays’s winners were Visionary School Supplies, from duPont Manual High School in Louisville, and Online Consign, from Campbellsville High School.

On Monday Hampton attended the region one competition in Murray. Winners were Tracemill Corporation, from Trigg County High School, and Dolphin Logger, from Daviess County High School.

Winners Monday and Tuesday advance to the state finals, scheduled for April 29 at the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics in Lexington. The 10 finalist teams will compete for $80,000 in scholarships. The top three teams will split the scholarship funding, which can be used at any post-secondary institution in Kentucky (e.g., four-year college, software bootcamp).
