Prep basketball academy says it is relocating from Arizona to Louisville

Founded in 2016

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (April 20, 2017) — Aspire Basketball Academy in Scottsdale, Ariz. announced it is moving to Louisville for the 2017-18 school year.

The academy, founded in 2016, bills itself “a basketball-centered college preparatory school” that last season participated in the Grind Session as one of 16 teams to be a core member of the 2016-17 elite national high school basketball circuit.

Students will attend DeSales High School in Louisville, while playing basketball for Aspire. Aspire did not say where it would be located in Louisville. It’s also not clear how many current Aspire players will make the move to Louisville.

Aspire said its first graduating class, in 2017, includes players who have signed with the University of Alabama at Birmingham, California State-Fullerton and Bismarck State College.
