This year’s event consists of 62 riders representing nine countries—including Olympic, World, European, and Pan Am Champions—that will vie for $400,000 in prize money. They will also compete for a shot at the $350,000 Rolex Grand Slam of Eventing, which is awarded to any rider who wins the Rolex Kentucky, Mitsubishi Motors Badminton and Land Rover Burghley ‘Four Star’ Events in succession.

Olympic Gold and Silver medalist Michael Jung of Germany, the two-time defending Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event champion and winner of the 2016 Rolex Grand Slam, heads the list of top riders that include many of the sport’s leading riders from the U.S. and abroad. New this year will be “Champions Live!,” a Sunday morning discussion panel featuring U.S. equestrian champions from each Olympic discipline. The event, which is free to those with a Sunday RK3DE grounds admission ticket, will take place after the final horse inspection on April 30 in the Kentucky Club from about 9:30-11 a.m. Three-time Olympic veteran Jimmy Wofford will moderate the session. The event also will be live streamed on the USEF Network.
