2017 EcoART Contest student winners announced

Four winners

FRANKFORT, Ky. (May 17, 2017) — The Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection has selected its 2017 EcoART Contest student winners.

Winners are:

  • Kaylee Thornsbury, Morgan County High School, West Liberty
  • Yedarm Lee, Somerset Christian School, Somerset
  • Savannah Wilder, Pleasure Ridge Park High School, Louisville
  • Heather Bensinger, Mercer County High School, Harrodsburg

The annual contest is open to Kentucky high school students who create artwork in the categories of air, water, land and habitat. Students were instructed to use media types of drawing, painting, print work, digital artwork, mixed media, sculpture, pottery and photographs.

Artwork from the 2017 contest winners will be displayed in the 300 Office Building in Frankfort.
