Eclipse on Aug. 21
HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (June 8, 2017) — To celebrate the solar eclipse on Aug. 21, Casey Jones Distillery has created Casey’s Cut Total Eclipse Moonshine, the “Official Drink of the 2017 Solar Eclipse.”
The 100 proof commemorative spirit is credited with being “the closest you can get to bottling nature’s rare phenomenon,” according to the Casey Jones Distillery website.
The solar eclipse’s point of greatest totality, at two minutes and forty seconds, is set to happen two miles from Casey Jones Distillery.
Each Casey’s Cut bottle, whether the commemorative eclipse drink or one of their five other corn whiskey spirits, is handcrafted at the distillery.
