Gov. Bevin makes appointments to boards and commissions

Includes Forestry Best Management Practices Board

FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 19, 2017) — Gov. Matt Bevin has made the appointments to Kentucky boards and commissions.

Forestry Best Management Practices Board:

  • Hagan Taylor Wonn, of Somerset, is the Chief Forester of Kentucky Hardwood. He will serve for a term expiring April 22, 2021.
  • John Kevin Tudor, of Mt. Sterling, is a fiber procurement forester for Domtar Paper Company. He has been reappointed to the board and shall serve for a term expiring April 22, 2020.
  • Keith Tarter, of Dunnville, is corporate manager for Tarter Gate. He has been reappointed to the board and shall serve for a term expiring April 22, 2020.
  • James “Henry” Duncan, of Versailles, is a farmer. He has been reappointed to the board and shall serve for a term expiring April 22, 2021.
  • Lyndle Barnes Jr., of Princeton, is retired. He has been reappointed to the board and shall serve for a term expiring April 22, 2021.

The Forestry Best Management Practices Board was established in 1998 to update Kentucky’s forest practice guidelines for water quality management and the Division of Forestry’s administrative regulations regarding timber harvesting operations.

Kentucky Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselors:

  • Bernard Joseph Perconti, of Anchorage, is president of PAKmed LLC. He will serve for a term expiring June 16, 2020.

The Kentucky Board of Alcohol and Drug Counselors sets professional standards and oversees examination, certification, and regulation of alcohol and drug counselors in the Commonwealth.
