Stoll Keenon Ogden to merge with Indiana-based Bamberger, Foreman, Oswald & Hahn

downloadLEXINGTON, Ky. (June 27, 2017) — The members of Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC (“SKO”) and the partners of Bamberger, Foreman, Oswald & Hahn, LLP (“Bamberger”) have agreed on the terms of a merger and will join forces by September 1.

The merged firm will operate as Stoll Keenon Ogden PLLC and will comprise 144 attorneys with offices in Louisville, Lexington and Frankfort, Ky.; Indianapolis and Evansville, Ind.; and Pittsburgh, Pa.

The 10 attorneys at Bamberger’s office in Evansville will relocate and join SKO in the Old National Bank headquarters, for a combined Evansville presence of 17 attorneys.

“Expanding the firm’s regional reach to better serve our clients is a key strategic initiative,” said SKO Managing Director P. Douglas Barr, who will continue to serve as chair of the firm’s board of directors. “By joining with Bamberger, SKO will more than double our number of lawyers licensed to practice law in Indiana, broaden and diversify our Indiana practice with expanded legal capabilities, deepen our bench strength in Evansville, and add a long-established office in Indianapolis. Most importantly, the lawyers at Bamberger are exceptional, hard-working people who share our deeply held commitment to providing the highest quality legal service to our clients, leadership in our communities, and a truly rewarding place to work for our employees.”

Bamberger has continuously operated in the historic Hulman Building since its founding in 1959, establishing its Indianapolis office in 1998. Kentucky-based SKO traces its roots to 1897 and is currently celebrating its 120th anniversary.

”Bamberger has served the legal needs of Evansville and the surrounding tri-state area for nearly 60 years. Like Bamberger, SKO has an outstanding reputation in the legal and business community. Becoming a part of SKO is exactly the right move for our firm and, more importantly, our clients,” said attorney Christopher C. Wischer, on behalf of his Bamberger partners. “This merger presents a unique opportunity to provide more services and deepen the level of experience we can offer our clients while expanding the geographic reach of both firms. We could not be more excited about this affiliation.”
