KEDFA approves the construction of a new $40 million manufacturing facility for Whitehall Inc.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (July 27, 2017) – The Kentucky Development Finance Authority at its monthly meeting today approved tax incentives for expanding the existing operations of Whitehall Inc. in Hebron, Ky. Total investment in the construction of a new manufacturing facility is $40 million

Whitehall, a manufacturer and national distributor of baked goods, is considering the construction of a new manufacturing facility to increase capacity for new regional and national contracts.

Whitehall is owned by Bernard Klosterman Irrevocable Trust, which is based in Cincinnati. Whitehall also has had an existing presence in Fayette and Jefferson counties. The company will be required to maintain 90 percent of the total statewide full-time, Kentucky resident employees at all company locations, excluding the site of the project, as of the date of preliminary approval.

Total tax incentives approved are $1.25 million for a project that will create 70 jobs at an average salary of $22 per hour, with a protected job target of 81 jobs in 6 years.
