Cumberland Agricultural Management opens $3 million facility in Edmonton; 15 jobs coming

EDMONTON, Ky. (July 27, 2017) — Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce officials, representatives from the Edmonton-Metcalfe Industrial Development Authority, Edmonton-Metcalfe County Chamber of Commerce and many members of the area business community gathered Thursday to celebrate the completion of Cumberland Agricultural Management, LLC’s new Edmonton, Ky. location.

The company broke ground on the project, located at 3780 Greensburg Road, in 2015 with a $3 million investment. Over the next three years, the company will create at least 15 jobs in Metcalfe County.

“The Kentucky Agricultural Development Board is pleased to have invested in the Cumberland Agricultural Management, LLC facility,” said Warren Beeler, Executive Director of the Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy. “This facility will provide a valuable service and have a positive economic impact on Metcalfe and surrounding counties.”

Cumberland Agricultural Management specializes in agricultural reclamation services and is an environmentally sustainable alternative to traditional disposal methods. The 12,000 square-foot facility in Edmonton recycles reclaimed material into marketable products such as cosmetics, animal and pet feed, and leather goods.

“We are excited to be a part of the Metcalfe County community and look forward to expanding our services throughout south central Kentucky’s agriculture community,” said co-owner Mark Antle.

Cumberland Agricultural Management’s animal reclamation service is an invaluable and environmentally conscious service available to South Central Kentucky’s agricultural community. Due to the importance of preserving water quality throughout the region, the Kentucky Soil and Water Conservation Districts are offering a rebate to farmers using the service.

“Mark Antle and Jerome Salyers have made a significant investment in Metcalfe County and we are proud to have Cumberland Agricultural Management in our community,” said IDA Board Chairman Barry Gilley. “We are happy to celebrate their business and our partnership with the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce.”

“We are excited to celebrate another economic development success in Metcalfe County through the South Central Kentucky regional partnership,” said Ron Bunch, President and CEO of the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce. “We look forward to many years of success for Cumberland Agricultural Management and for Metcalfe County.”

“The Metcalfe County Fiscal Court is very proud to have been apart of this day. Cumberland Agricultural Management is a valuable part of our community and we look forward to their future success,” said Metcalfe County Judge Executive Greg Wilson.
