First Savings Bank in Southern Indiana names senior vice president

CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (Aug. 25, 2017) — First Savings Bank, the largest locally-owned community bank in Southern Indiana, has announced the appointment of Derrick Jackson, senior vice president, chief credit officer.

Jackson, who has been in banking 19 years, has experience in the areas of branch management, commercial and consumer lending, credit risk management and credit training.

Jackson earned his degree from Centre College, obtaining a bachelor of arts in economics. He is currently an instructor at the Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking and the American Bankers Association National Lender School.

He formerly served as an advisory board member for the American Bankers Association’s National and Graduate Lender School as well as their Commercial Real Estate Lending Conference, in addition a former board member of Wayside Christion Mission.  Mr. Jackson’s other community involvement includes Habitat for Humanity and Northeast Christian Church.
