Kentucky Deferred Compensation Authority names executive director

Former general counsel has been with Authority for nearly 10 years

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Sept. 15, 2017) — The Kentucky Public Employees’ Deferred Compensation Authority’s (KDC) Board of Directors today unanimously voted to name William C. “Chris” Biddle as the new executive director. Biddle has served as interim executive director since the retirement of Bob Brown in June.

“Chris brings years of practical, in-the-trenches experience to his new role as executive director,” said Personnel Cabinet Secretary Thomas Stephens, who also serves as a member of the Board. “I believe Chris will be a steady hand as the program continues to grow to meet the needs of future retirees.”

Biddle has been with the Authority for nearly 10 years, spending the majority of that time as general counsel. Prior to joining KDC, he was a private-practice attorney.

“I’m honored to continue serving the KDC as executive director,” Biddle said. “I believe this program will grow exponentially in the coming years, and I look forward to sharing the message of how KDC can help bridge the retirement gap for public employees throughout the commonwealth.”
