Courier-Journal: Louisville says it’s joining the competition to lure second Amazon headquarters

amazonLouisville is submitting a proposal to land e-commerce giant Amazon’s second U.S. headquarters, according to the city’s economic development agency, the Louisville Courier-Journal posted Monday on its website.

Since the Seattle-based internet giant announced it was expanding, several cities have thrown their name into the competition to land the site, which the company anticipates will cost $5 billion to build and could generate up to 50,000 jobs with an average annual compensation of more than $100,000.
