RICHMOND, Ky. (Sept. 21, 2017) — Eastern Kentucky University held a dedication ceremony for the second phase of its new science building on Sept. 15.

At just over 322,000 s.f., the new science building is the largest of its kind in the state, enabling EKU to house all of its natural science programs under one roof for the first time in its history.

Designed by Omni Architects of Lexington, the new building promotes collaboration and interaction, and accommodates advanced teaching methodologies and programs to position EKU as a leader in preparing students for STEM careers.

During the dedication, over 100 people attended – including state and local leaders, university officials, faculty, students, donors and more – and toured the state-of-the-art facility.
